I’m speaking in Sacramento at SQLSaturday #222 tomorrow! I’m especially fond of Sac since I lived here for 10 years (in Elk Grove) from 1995 to 2005 when we moved to the Austin area. I have many long time friends in this city.

I enjoyed a precon by Kalen Delaney (twitter | blog) of SQLServerInternals.com today which covered byte reversed values in the logical pages within the physical .MDF and the offset math to change the values of a specific row/column’s value. It was nerdtastic. It was so cool learning how to corrupt a database with a hex editor and how to repair it in some cases with a hex editor. Juicy stuff that was only really ‘cool’ for a total geek like me. It was also nice catching up with my friend Kalen.
